Basically, I've always loved "Cannonball Rag". It's one of my favorite Mel Travis tunes and I wanted to record it, but I wanted to do something totally different with it, so I wrote "Game Show Rag" and wrote it in that kind of Travis style, but in a way that led me perfectly into "Cannonball Rag."
