Destiny�s Child was a part of me; I was blessed to even have that experience, but this is me doing my thing and that�s all I can do.

Yeah. I grew so much in that time. I needed that. I needed to be able to establish my own sound...to grow and go through things so that I'd have something to write about. I thank God for that time; He does everything on time.

The thing that I love about my album is that it�s real life experiences. Love, life, fun in the club [and] stuff like that. It�s everything that I�ve been through in the last five years, just growing into a woman and my experiences with love. It�s a real deep album and it�s a first for me, so the people that didn�t get to hear my voice in Destiny�s Child can now hear me on my solo album.
