I met up with somebody I used to go to middle school with when I was 14 and he had decks and was playing at an under 16`s weekly night and I got involved at that point, but I can trace it much further than that. Age 11 I got into electro and hip hop and had one of those suitcase turntables that opened up and had a speaker attached and tried to learn to scratch in my parents garage. It goes back earlier than that too....sitting in my bedroom age 8/9 with 2 tape recorders recording from one to the other and adding stuff!
